Google Gemini’s Update: Calls & Texts with a Locked Screen!

As per recent reports, Google Gemini is upgrading its features on Android Phones. The reports say the user can request Google Gemini AI to make a call or send a message, with the screen locked.

Google has enabled the Phone extension for Gemini devices, allowing users to call contacts, businesses, and phone numbers directly. The Messages extension allows users to use the default messaging app to send messages, compose drafts, and edit.

WhatsApp users have to specify actions in their prompts, such as placing a call or sending a message.

Additionally, Google Gemini introduced an extension for Spotify users, allowing them to search and play music, including specific songs, albums, artists, and playlists.

Earlier, it was a complete process to unlock the phone and navigate through Apps. But now, Google has decided to ease this process. However, Google has not officially confirmed this feature. But it is expected to be available in the upcoming months.

Currently, users are only allowed to communicate with the assistant for simple tasks such as answering queries, setting reminders, and adding calendar events even with the locked screen.

Google is developing an AI-powered Chrome feature called “Store Reviews,” which will allow users to assess the trustworthiness of websites. This feature will provide a summary of reviews from websites like Trust Pilot and Scam Advisor, saving users time and ensuring website authenticity.

Google is introducing AI-powered protection, providing real-time defense against potentially harmful websites as one of its new AI features.
